Hip Hop is in a state of emergency and Mykill Miers is ready to provide disaster relief. The industry is currently saturated with thoughtless and misogynistic music, which has created a lack of diversity for today’s consumers. “ Hip Hop needs balance,” states Miers, “when I was coming up, for every N.W.A and Too Short there was an X-Clan and Brand Nubian. Nowadays everybody’s talking about the same thing. It‘s time for someone to give Hip Hop a shot of adrenaline.”

After reading the biography of Mykill Miers and realizing how accomplished this man really is, how many amazing things he has done in his life, it blows my mind that he took the time to respond to any of my messages but he has actually replied to all of my messages and comments over the years.
I have been a huge fan of his music since early 2000 when I discovered him on you tube. So many artists are not recognized or heard by the world because of the mainstream media’s focus on only a handful of artists but why, obviously for many different reasons. I have made it my quest in life to find all Artists, Musicians, Producers and Music that doesn't suck we shall say.
Mykill Miers has and always will be one of the most talented and real hip hop artists that I have ever heard. Miers messages and lessons that he puts out through his music is real, dope, teaching people and the world through his music which is truly an amazing gift and one he does not take for granted.
Although I'd like to say I have some faith in the younger, up and coming artists, everyone could learn a thing or 20 from this connoisseur of the art form, so many claim to be a part of or are so down with. Almost a decade ago Mykill asked, "So you wanna be mc?" and tells it like it is!
I want to leave all you wanna be "gangsters" and thugs with your "bitches", "bling", "swagger", "gats" and same ole Lil Wayne, T-Pain which is a sorry excuse for a hip hop artist. I'll say this now, that hip hop culture and music has always and will always be a way of life!
Respect is not given it's earned and for anyone out there who is getting into music for any other reason other than for the pure love of music, please spare us the headache. “Ain’t nobody got time for that.”
